Replacement bag for the new Pedals table-top folding display boards? DNC/DL/SY.
Report of December meeting to discuss the regeneration of the Broad Marsh area by Homes
England and Nottingham City Council including Pedals proposal for these to include improved
cycling provision at the south (Greyfriar Gate) end of Maid Marian Way. (Hugh McClintock)
Cycle-hostile barriers installed at Rushcliffe Country Park : FoI Request to RBC (Samuel Shoesmith)
Update on Notts County Council repair/reopen Cotgrave Greenway including the petition by James
Naish MP with the support of Councillors Roger Upton and Richard Butler. (Hugh McClintock)
Update on proposal for Notts County Council to lead in drafting a path Creation Order for
upgrading the subway-underpass of the A52 south of Sharp Hill. (Hugh McClintock)
Update on “RoSChet” bridge including presentation in Leicester at 6.30pm on Sunday 25-1-26

Promoting cycling to schools, bike buses, and generally among young people, including David
Nicholson-Cole’s proposed survey (Samuel Shoesmith, Brendan McCabe and David NC) and
proposal for Pedals to draft a comprehensive map of safe routes to Schools. (Roland Backhouse).
New Rushcliffe BC planning application for the expansion of the NFFC City Ground and implications
for nearby sections of NCN15: Planning Application Consultation (25/02123/FUL): comments by 26
January.
Timetable and roles for planning the next East Midlands Cyclists’ Forum to be hosted by Pedals in
Nottingham in October 2025 including costs / subsidy, refreshments and lunch, “save the date”
publicity arrangements, handling of bookings, etc. (Dave Smith, Susan Young & Hugh McClintock).
Revived interest in the 2006-7 City Council proposal for a foot-cycle bridge between Clifton (Grove)
and Beeston (Weir and Lock): proposal from Neil Willmott, for a Floating Pontoon Bridge across the
Weir: possible item to include in the Pedals response to the EMCCA Local Transport Plan including
request for investigation of both options. (Hugh McClintock)
EMCCA Local Transport Plan public consultation: Pedals response to be finalised by 26 Jan with
option to include our LCWIP “wish list” to the D2N2 Area consultation in 2023. (Hugh McClintock)
Request for comments by 22 January (9am) on draft Pedals list of outstanding infrastructure issues
for 2 March 2026 CAWAG Infrastructure subgroup meeting, to be submitted on 22 January for
written responses from City & County Councils, and National Highways, by 23 February 2026.
Request for Pedals support for the CAN Bill: message of 8 January from Sarah Warren circulated via
the Pedals Discussion Group (Samuel Shoesmith)
Proposals from Susan Young for updating the Pedals Constitution, as circulated to the Pedals
Discussion Group on 3 January 2026 and preparations for the Pedals 2026 AGM on 16 March,
including arrangements for giving a minimum of one month’s notice to all Pedals Supporters.
