1. Welcome, and apologies for absence from Dave Smith and David Lally
– acquisition of new bag for new folding display boards, following the abandonment of the previous, badly decayed, bag
– new Rushcliffe Country Park access point barriers: update on proposed FoI request to Rushcliffe Borough Council (David Nicholson-Cole)
– Glow Ride on 22 October (Susan Young to report)
– proposed survey of cycling promotion in schools (David Nicholson-Cole)
– Waterside Bridge Lift on 10 November and next steps including ideas to mark the bridge opening due late next Spring
– “RoSChet” foot-cycle bridge proposal: letter of 3 November from Dr. Dawn Rahman of the ITP by Haskoning Consultancy, and planned talk to Leicestershire cyclists etc. in Leicester on 21 January, etc. (Hugh McClintock)

Proposed Pedals hosting of the next East Midlands Cyclists’ Forum meeting in Nottingham on Saturday 3 October 2026 at the Queen’s Walk Community Centre: costings, booking and first draft of programme, etc., following site visit on 4 November by Dave Smith & Hugh McCintock (Susan Young & Hugh McClintock)
4. Cotgrave Greenway closure: Proposed petition (proposed by Roland Backhouse)
5. East Midland Mayor’s Local Transport Plan Consultation, launched in November 2005, and opportunity for Pedals response, including updating our comprehensive detailed comments on the former “D2N2” Area LCWIP (Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan) of 2023.
6. Arrangement for next meeting on Monday 15 December, including minute-taking arrangements and Pedals Christmas Social evening.
