Report on Kidical Mass, 1 June (Samuel Shoesmith)
Erewash Canal towpath: audit of barriers for the CRT (Peter Briggs, David Nicholson-Cole
and David Lally): update on any response from Dick Vincent, CRT National Towpaths

Cycle parking at Morrisons and other local Supermarkets (Mark Beaven)
Poor cycling provision in new developments including photos on the Cotgrave example
cited by Peter Osborne (Jude Wilkinson and Samuel Shoesmith) as well as examples of
not so poor / relatively good provision as in Fairham Pastures, etc.
Promoting cycling to schools, including bike buses, and generally among young people,
including David Nicholson-Cole’s proposed survey (Samuel Shoesmith, Brendan McCabe
and David NC)
Progress on “Bike Zone” at Nottingham Green Festival 14th September. Transport,
Barriers for bike parking – funding request.
Report on NSAT (North-South Active Travelway campaign): Samuel Shoesmith and Mark

Update on the A52 Active Travel Partnership objection to the National Highways Proposals
for the A60/A52 Nottingham Knight and A606/A52 Lings Bar / Wheatcroft Roundabouts
and the plans for the Public Inquiry starting on 8 July, including proposed item on this
campaign for the Pedals website (Hugh McClintock)
Update on Pedals proposals for the “RoSChet” foot-cycle bridge proposal including
submission of supplementary report, requested by Alan Simpson, EMCCA Sustainable
Travel Ambassador, and subsequent discussions with Alan, etc.
Update on proposed meeting with Alan Simpson, James Naish MP, Cllr. Penny Gowland
(Notts CC and Rushcliffe BC), Adrian Hill (ATE Regional Manager) and Hugh McClintock
to discuss the scope for flexibility in the application of ATE’s Infrastructure Guidance, with
particular reference to the proposed upgrading of the junction of Rutland Road, Radcliffe
Road and Mabel Grove in the Lady Bay area.
Report on the CAWAG Infrastructure subgroup meeting on 9 June including changed
County Council arrangements, Waterside Bridge Links and Holme Lane surface
improvements, etc. (Hugh McClintock, Brendan McCabe and Peter Briggs)
Proposed Pedals, Women in Tandem, and Notts CTC event on the back of CUKs
campaign to get more women cycling (Susan Young)
