Special Invitation to the Wheelie Big Breakfast Wednesday 17th June 2009

The Big Wheel, in association with Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, would like to invite you to our Wheelie Big Breakfast on Wednesday 17th June 2009.

We want to show you that cycling’s a great way to start your day - so we’re asking you to leave your car at home and use your bike to get to work on Wednesday 17th June. As a way to say ‘thank you’ for your efforts we’re putting on a free breakfast to get you fuelled up for the day ahead.

All you have to do is come along on your bike to Nottingham’s Old Market Square between 8am and 10am. We’ll provide you with a delicious free breakfast and get you quickly fuelled up on your way to work. Or, if you’ve got a little more time to recharge, there’ll be a whole host of cycling and health related activities happening - including free bike checks and a pedal-powered smoothie maker.

This year has seen exciting developments in the promotion of cycling as a way to keep you fit and healthy. You will find out more about this and other initiatives affecting the conurbation. This is your chance to ask any burning questions and give your feedback on what matters to you as a cyclist. There will also be time for you to make announcements and share details of your own cycling projects.
