condition of cyclepaths in nottingham
please, would someone be brave enough to try and tackle the cyclepath on the last stretch of the ring road, from the Five ways pub to the junction of the ring road and mansfield road - on the northern side where the fields, bowling green and new flood plain are. I've been having my fillings rattled every night now for several years by riding on this part of the cycle way - it really must be one of the worst sections of cycle path I have ever ridden on - at times it's like riding across a ploughed field - has anyone got any idea when it was last re-surfaced?
Whilst the fact that the council have made the footpath into a cycle path is commendable (just to get cyclists off the incredibly dangerous ring road) it takes more than a couple of signs to make a decent cycle path. The rest of the ring road cycle way is fine - it's just this last section. Go on, give it a go and see what I mean!

I do know where you are talking about as I sometimes cycle that part of the ring road, and it is in a state. Made the mistake of cycling with my daughter to the childrens playground by 5-ways and that is in a right state too!
