Nottingham City Council's
Nottingham City Council's Highways Team are making improvements to the junction from the A610 Nuthall Road into Phoenix Park from Monday 1st March 2010 for 9 weeks. These improvements will see the westbound lanes altered, new traffic lights installed, modifications to the crossings to improve access for visually impaired people and better access to the new cycle lockers at the Park and Ride Site. To complete these works safely and quickly, the City Council will close the right turn from the A610 (Cinderhill) into Phoenix Park and the right turn from Phoenix Park out on to the A610 (towards the M1). There will also be some temporary daytime lane closures on the A610. During these works, if you normally enter from the Cinderhill roundabout, you will need to continue up the A610 to Nuthall roundabout, loop around the roundabout and return back down the A610 and turn left into Phoenix Park. If you normally turn right out of Phoenix Park towards the motorway, you'll need to turn left and loop around Cinderhill roundabout back on to the A610. The Park and Ride site remains open throughout these works and trams will run as normal, but please allow yourself extra time. The Phoenix Flyer from Kimberley will divert onto the A610 instead of using Nottingham Road and turn left into the Phoenix Business Park. Buses towards Kimberley are not affected.
