Become a Volunteer Group Cycle Ride Leader - With Ridewise and the City’s Cycling for Health project

Our next Free One Day Group Ride Leader course is on:

Monday 20th September 2010

At the Lenton Centre, Willoughby Street, NG7 1RQ

9:30am – 3:30pm (light lunch provided)  Cost – Free

The course aims to equip you with a good working knowledge of:

·       Group ride leadership skills

·       responsibilities of assistant and leader

·       risk assessments

·       managing a group

·       safe cycling

·       route planning

Entry requirement – You need to be working towards or have National Standards Level 2 (having cycle skills for off road and quiet roads)

If you are unsure of your level, sign up for cycle training at www.ridewise.org.uk and click on the “make a booking” tab – we’ll give you free lessons to get you up to scratch

The Cycling For Health project is looking for volunteers to assist and lead community bike rides in Nottingham city. Rides are easy going, on traffic free paths and quiet roads, generally taking 45 mins to an hour – if you have any time to spare please get in touch

Places limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment!
